Is the SAW series, the best horror series in our generation?

They get weaker every year. The first 3 where cool. Now they just forcing it. They don't care tho, they have a small budget and make a lot of money. Saw 10will be here next year.

I'll admit, 5 sucked. But before 5, I was the absolute biggest Saw fan out there. I loved 1-4. Nobody can hate on 1. That will go down as one of the bestmovies of the genre ever. 2 and 3 were very good too. Maybe not classics, but they fed the hunger to learn more about Jigsaw and his accomplice. 4 was out ofhere--it's my second favorite next to 1. 5 disgraced the series. The others I just wanted to watch over and over and think about them and dissect themobsessively. I'm not even into gore and blood; the story and the twists and surprises are what got me.

Best horror series of our generation, though...it depends on what "our generation" is. I'm 21, and like someone else said, I still remember theScream trilogy. Both 1 and 2 are classic...though 3 sucked. Supposedly Saw is going to wrap up at 6 since 5 was just a setup film for it, so we'll see howSaw concludes before we pit it up against Scream.

BTW: whoever said it's porn...we must not be talking about the same movies. There's never been anything remotely pornographic about it, not even a lovestory... and there's only been one nude scene and it was more sadistic than sexual (in part 3, chick was tied up in a freezer and got water sprayed on hertil she looked like someone did that Sub-Zero super-freeze on her)

Even though this is one of my favorite horror series, I have all the movies, they really did start to fall off after 1. I remember everyone in the theaterbeing like

%** at the end of the 1st one. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ones were pretty pedestrian, especially when comparing them with the 1st film, but I didenjoy Saw 5 (that ending was

as well) and will be going to 6 (which will hopefully be the final in the series and we can get some closure on the wholestory.

no one should ever go in expecting a excellent movie after the 2nd saw, its clear they are now milking it, but its worth seeing around the halloween season,its become like a tradition

Scream is still number 1 to me, but Saw is right behind.......

I've liked each Saw that has come out, though admittedly, I was losing patience with 5. Hopefully 6 gets back on track.

The Saw movie contract suppose to be up to 8. Only 8 Saw movies will be out and as much as we all want to say that they suck, we still go and watch it becauseit picks up from the last movie and has as on the edge of our seat.
