Moments That Made You Realize You’re Washed

I’m on amazon ordering a foam roller and massage gun and I don’t even workout. Working a desk job got me washed 2.0 :smh:

bra i love my job but im literally to the point where i dont want to sit in front of a computer all day right now

I hooped for 4 hours straight today. Pray for me

I went to the park for some late evening hoops, just wanted to shoot around and played a game of 2 on 2. I was ok with that, then some 6’5 fresh out the summer league dudes had us run a full with them. I was guarding some Bam Adebayo lookin ***. Was really thinking of which injury to fake to get myself out the game. Thank god it started to pour a few points in and everyone dipped.

Gonna be sore af tomorrow, if not then its a victory in my book.

Were the youngins jackin?

#LOWIQ Bball?

Some of them were but for the most part it was some good ball. We had 3 D2 kids, a D1 big and a PG in high school that will go D1. And they already know my veteran self wants a high PNR the majority of the time. I ain’t with that hot sauce stuff, I’ll leave.

Feeling quite washed this morning. Went downhill mountain biking yesterday and took a pretty nasty Tumble. Most of the impact to my left shoulder, of which I can barely life my left arm now.

Do I just give it some time to see if it goes away?

Yeah give it some time. I flipped off of a 4 wheeler a couple 4th of July’s ago, and landed on my shoulder. I couldn’t even put my shirt on by myself it hurt so bad. It should start getting better little by little each day.

Stop being a typical stupid/proud man and go get it checked out ASAP.

It isn't as sore today. Still can't lift it certain ways but yesterday it only didn't hurt if it was just hanging directly down on my side.

I don't even know who to go see. Regular doctor? Specialist for sports medicine maybe?

I would have went to the emergency room once it happened.

Unless you can see your Primary Care and get a referral to see a sports medicine DR.

Or try and see if a physical therapist can take a look at it.

But simply relying on the pain being present is NOT smart. I think deep down inside you know this as well.

 I did 2 more runs after the crash. Lift served biking 1.5 hours from the city.

I haven't been to a regular doctor in years. I've gotten health screenings for insurance purposes and what not, but I don't really have a primary care provider. My wife is a RN / NP, but she's out of town.

I assume you have a job, and are paying for insurance?

But don't have a primary care DR?

We have to do better as men man. Get a DR

It’s true

My knee started hurting in February/March and it got bad by April. Still didn’t go to the doctor until May

I think I waited too long cause it really hurts :blush:

I always hate when they run into some minor inconvenience that will cost a couple $k, and act like they have to pull major strings or else the whole project goes under.

Like come on mofo, you're spending six figures on the update but $2k puts you underwater?
I am a hair dresser and my husband owns a non profit, our budget is 1.2 million.

Unfortunately we have to spend 20K to fix the foundation, we just don't know if we want to continue with the home purchase.

Shoulder seems to be doing better. Still not back to 100%, but I can lift it up now and 90% of the pain is gone.

That said... I have a small dot under the skin on the ball of my foot. Feels kind of like plantar fasciitis but I guess if its near the ball of the foot, its more like to be metatarsalgia or even a plantar wart? Getting old sucks.

I got a new job. A lot of it is manual labor and by manual labor I mean pushing asphalt around with a shovel. Picture sweeping like a pound of dirt with a shovel. It’s that easy.

Anyways I’m on my feet 75% of the day doing various things in the sun chilling.

It’s crazy you’d thing I’d be tired but I have so much more energy after work compared to my last job and my warm ups before lifting are like nothing now because I’m moving all day.
