yes it is. ever go to a mom and pops and they have really old white shoes and their yellow? if you look at the side of the yellowed shoe thatfaces the wall it is pure white cause somehow the light makes them yellow over time.

cool concept but it will ruin them ober time. and their in plastic so prepare for mold or cracking depending on where you live. regular sneaker box withpaper is best imo.
