Both of those guys are still under the age of 25, and are former no.2 overall picks so the talent is definitely there........I guess I just have a different mindset than some of y'all....I'm thinking beyond JUST these next 2 years to help Kobe get #6
That's how I see it also.

If Calderon gets amnestied I see him coming.

Calderon backup PG would be nice (don't make me go in on Jose.. I will) I like that Pau trade if we somehow acquire Iggy while keeping Derrick and Beas.

Mitch is too smart to trade for JUST two tweener forwards, one of which is a pot head, and what will end up being a couple mid round picks.... Adding athletic assets while staying top 3 in the west is the goalNot to mention that Ron Ron is still in LA

Do you think Beasley is the only person in the league who smokes weed?........get over it already, the dude got caught a few years back so what?

Right?

Like our last 2 championships didn't come w/ the help of a certain candy loving pothead.

Non-issue.

It's unbelievable how much Stern %#@%*% us over with the CP3 deal.

All of these trade scenarios we're discussing would be entirely moot.

And whatever moves they do end up making, we won't be as good as we would have been had that deal gone through

(barring, of course, DWill and D12 somehow

)

So frustrating. And all of this makes me hate the clippers even more. Ending up with CP3 and one of the players we were trading to get him

I can't handle it.

ska you're smarter than that... dude couldn't handle South Beach he can't handle the Cali
laugh.gif

He can't guard anybody, he's 6'10 and career 5rpg. He's serviceable. Nothing earth shattering

At the end of the day, THEY PLAY THE SAME POSITION. Why do we need both Derrick and Beas?

RT: @basketballtalk
Kupchak isn't drunk. Forget it. RT @theGMsuite: @basketballtalk Whats going on with Pau to Minnesota Rumor for Beasley and Derrick Williams?

I really doubt Calderon would clear the waivers list. Lots of teams could use him as a starter or backup, especially since it would only be for a year.

Back to fantasy world.

Wait, I'm getting my dudes mixed up. I was thinking Derrick was a PG.

*checks profile*

Oh. Well scratch what I said about Ramon/Derrick/Blake. We lose Ramon, we're screwed.

But we'd have depth around the rim.

Bease can play the 3,and IMO is a true 3. Dwill is a 4.No way pek and Williams go. I think a Williams +martell+ jj is,far more likely. Maybe some picks too

Beasly is not 6-10. Why people continue to believe this is beyond me. He was 6-8 in shoes at the Combine. He is a SF

And it is not the fact the Beas smokes weed that throws people off, it's the amount he smokes. And even last season people in Minny were saying he is still a knuckle head.

The list was who he'd sign with. Not who he'd play for. He can't sign with us so his list was only 2.

And Metta doesn't need to be amnestied this year

Sessions is a cheaper better player than Calderon.

Better scorer, shooter, rebounder, defender.

Calderon is a slightly better passer.

Yo I'm not even gonna front i was still holding out hope for us to possibly get Dwight, but dude is waaaaaayyy out there. His PR team is failing him

Dwight definitely has the skills, no doubt... but he's not a franchise guy. That's what he has proven these last couple years.

Is there a team (not us fans; the team) that doesn't want him? Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnope. If he comes out today and says "I want to play in ______, period. The end," that team goes bananas and does what it has to in order to get him.

But just like that ultra-hot escort that burned you, a few years down the road you're really going to regret signing up for that.

So as fans, lettuce be glad he said 'Nets,' not 'Lakers'. Because I definitely believe the turmoil he has caused in ORL trumps his impressive numbers.

And even the numbers... I remember Stan Van Gundy at a postgame press conference one time asking something like "How does a 7-footer only get *insert small number here* rebounds? I mean... how does that happen?" And I remember thinking "Ummmm... good point."

And if I remember correctly, the next night he got like 20 boards, but still, SVG was right. We don't need that. The locker room disruption, the splitting apart of upper management, the 'sometimes' effort on the court... all of that together refutes hus on-court production.

Not saying he's a villain, but definitely too immature to be a franchise guy, even though he'll get paid like one and 'poster boy'-ed like one.

Does anybody realistically think we'll be a different team next year?
We have Jim buss and Mitch feeding us the same crap that this core can still win.
Like Ska has said, I truly believe we're on our way to mediocrity. The same mediocrity that we were in the 90s.

Whether or not we make a move. I feel we will, I feel we won't. I can't decide which is right. If we can get Iguodala and keep the other 4 starters in tact we made a great move. Add in a bench PG. and it's even better
