I appreciated his honesty, called out names. He’s a better man than me though I’d play dirty AND send those fools to jail lol.

WFT stay making me embarrassed to be a fan....a dust up?

I guess people don't really understand that it was an attempted coup? We were very close to having some one force themselves into power which could have basically lead to him making himself a dictator. Which could have started a civil war.

I am far from an alarmist but it was potentially the end of democracy. "a dust up".....

America is a mixed economy, people that actually want the country to improve and be more equitable will argue over the right mix and if a market solution can improve things or if we need a public-funded solution

But nothing gets done because powerful groups works against the majority and sabotage nearly all proposed improvements. Whether it be capitalist, or socialist

This article was written 11 years ago, and with a few tweaks, could be published today without anyone noticing its age

There has been very little positive progress for the average American since Obama was elected, and it's been the same choreography for way too long. I don't know what It will take to make Americans understand that their problems are with Republicans and those who align with this version of the party (temporarily or permanently).

Some local NIMBYs have said the following at a recent public hearing:

-Giving home owners the option to split their lot on their own land is “communism.”

-There’s not enough water in California, it’s irresponsible to build new developments in drought stricken places so people who want to buy a starter home should move to Arizona and Nevada.

-There should not be any new homes built ever and “the market” will create affordable housing.

-Because if the drought, we can’t build new apartments or houses and should protect “our” farmland to save water.

-Some people can afford to buy a home in the area so there’s no affordability crisis (that person’s nextdoor profile is full of posts complaining about high gas prices).

All this was over a proposed development to build 700 units.

I’m there, I’m an actual communist and I’m finding myself the most pro capitalism, pro market person there, at least on the issue of housing policy.
