Bad news for Rudy. Remember that this Naftogaz deal involves Dmitry Firtash. Rudy himself publicly (and correctly) called out Firtash as an upper echelon affiliate of the Russian mob. That attack came around the time of Cohen's testimony after pleading guilty, as Cohen's lawyer Lanny Davis also represented Firtash at that time.
Lev Parnas reportedly bragged to multiple people that Dmitry Firtash was bankrolling his efforts get Naftogaz executives to replace boardmembers to get a lucrative deal through that would grant Dmitry Firtash even greater control over Ukraine's gas industry.
Firtash helped provide dirt on Biden and Rudy has since said he "may have looked at" Firtash during his Ukraine scheme, despite previously saying he didn't know Firtash and "[had] nothing to do with him."

Prosecutors in Giuliani probe will interview Ukrainian gas company official
Federal prosecutors investigating Rudy Giuliani plan to interview a senior executive of Ukraine's state-run oil-and-gas company, according to his lawyer, as Giuliani's possible ties to a separate natural gas venture have come under scrutiny.

Andrew Favorov, who heads the integrated gas division of the conglomerate Naftogaz, has agreed to speak to prosecutors, his attorney Lanny Breuer said in a statement. Breuer did not share any date, meeting place or other details for the interview.

"The Department of Justice has requested an interview with Andrew Favorov. He has agreed and will voluntarily sit down with the government attorneys," Breuer said. A spokesman for the Manhattan US Attorney's office declined to comment.
