Someone made a mistake. We were supporting Iraq during the war but not directly, just through weapons sales (which led to a whole nother problem). The plane was apparently flying in the ship's direction and wouldn't respond and they got overeager and shot it down, forgetting we weren't actually part of the war. The plane was still over Iranian waters.

According to some people the mistook the plane for a fighter jet. SMH

Others said it wouldn't respond ... but I just think they didnt give a ****, it was Iranian.

The kicker is that the US never apologized and actually commended the ship.

I am half way through Nathan Robinson's interview with Erza Klein about socialism. As a Socialist writer I used to like Robinson alot. Now he is so up Bernie's *** I avoid him.

Robinson has a talent for sounding somewhat enlightening one second, then full of **** the next.

He is enlightening about socialist moral urgency, but when it comes to politics and caping for Bernie, dude is off the rails.

It was taped before the UK election and dude is caping hard for Corbyn being come sort of success, and Klein is making the argument Corbyn is a failure cause, you know, he can't win.

Edit: Ezra Klein is probably one of the most gracious and polite interviewers around. And I get the sense he is holding back telling dude he is full of ****.
