The issue is not being pro-life; the issue is abortion.
Critics of abortion use their being pro-life as the basis for opposition to abortion. This is why the question is asked: if you are pro-life, why don't you take measures that would protect us all seriously, like wearing masks?
As an aside, you can be anti-abortion and pro-choice. Furthermore, the numbers show that societies that have pro-choice policies actually have a lot less abortions than countries that have a total ban on abortion.
