My boy had it all, could score with the best of them, had THE best court vision, imo, had great bball iq, and was a pretty solid defender.
I also think the whole, "it was the shoes that got him the love" is BS. I mean the shoes was fresh but for me, being a Penny fan, i was gonna get WHATEVER shoe he had at the time, even if they were butt ugly, just cause they were PENNY'S kicks. So for me, and i'm sure a lot of other Penny fans, it was Penny that made the shoe popular, not the other way around.
Another thing, TMac is my 2nd fav. player of all time and i think the comparisons to him and Penny are not very accurate. Tmac is more a scorer while Penny was more a playmaker.
At the end of the day, both of my fav. players are cursed
EDIT: Hold up, had to quote this:
Penny showed up for the big moments which included playoffs during his time with the Magic. T-Mac never made it past the 1st round. I mean yea Magic had a better team, but the NBA was tougher overall back then too. T-Mac has great regular season moments. But he can never come in the clutch when it really counts, the postseason.
