I got a question should we demonize guys who prey on the naive of age women? the ditzy chicks, birds etc etc. Because the basis behind these consent laws is to essentially stop older usually more mature people from manipulating the more naive people (which is usually attributed to people of a young age).

So even if a chick is clearly of Age, isn't it just as bad if a man is constantly looking for those certain kind of naive/insecure/weak minded chicks in order to control & manipulate. We often talk about why celebs share so many of the same chicks & a part of me thinks it's the same chicks because these girls are already ready to be manipulated & broken down for these celebs.

You guys keep talking about college but the people in college generally aren't caught up in the dilemma, for the most part ppl that go off to college after HS will just be in college and older circles. It's the large group of ppl that don't go off to college after HS that will still be in circles with HS age ppl. Right. But no law is flawless, and almost all laws are for general purposes.

Generally speaking, a 21 year old should be further along developmentally than a 18, 19 year old.

And if they aren't well then that's more so on them.

The law is very finicky. I'm sure a group of psychologist can research the average age people mature mentally at. I think the working theory is 25. However, try to push legislation to increase the age of consent to 23-25 and they'll laugh at you. Those lawmakers or their constituents aren't trying to toss out the opportunity to **** 18 year olds when their 50. That's why "barely legal" porn was so big.
