Yeah I won't even pretend to understand his state of mind and the severity. Has to be painful for the kids and their future mental state.

He probably held on for as long as he could...it really sucks for his family. In reading the TMZ article, I didn't know that he was abused as a child. Obviously, it's an assumption, but that's probably what led to his battles with drugs/alcohol. Those inner demons got the best of him.
