there is only one thing that is holding up a deal, Ben Gordon.
The Heat do not want to pay Gordon what he is asking for and are hoping
he will change his stance and accept what many would call a "fair"
deal. Until Gordon agrees on a lesser deal the Bulls/Gordon stalemate
will continue.

Comment: Note that deals were agreed but Ben is holding to his salary demands.

At the start of the offseason it appeared as though Denver might have a payroll of $86 million, but trading Marcus Camby to theClippers allowed them to reduce that number slightly.

They will have to pay $6.3 million in luxury tax because they are over the $71.15 million threshold and could look to further reducetheir payroll this season.

Iverson, who will be paid $20.84 million, will be a free agent next summer. That means the Nuggets could deal Iverson at the deadline,sign-and-trade him next summer, or simply allow him to walk away next offseason.

And I knew we'd be over the cap again since we were just below the cap when we had only 10 players signed for the season. Iverson's gonna be the nextto go unless they can trick some poor team into taking Kenyon's contract off our hands. Maybe they can trade AI back to Philly for Dre.
