So Supreme decided to release a Japanese benefit shirt

The point is Japan will get money and that's the only issue that matters.  If I'm Japan I don't care how people donate.
So trifles like "how much money was actually raised/wasted in the process" don't concern you as long as something is going to Japan, because, y'know, beggars can't be choosers.  What happens to your money after you get your Supreme t-shirt isn't that serious.  Got it.  Hey, you're entitled to your opinion.
Maybe I'll go buy a pair of Dirtylicious' rifts for $200, sell them on here for $210 shipped and give 100% of the proceeds to Japan.  It's all pretty much the same, right?

Can't knock the hustle.

Don't have a problem with the price if the majority goes to charity. Now what I would have a problem with is if the tee is limited. Sure being limited pushes the tee but if more people are willing to buy it then you're (Supreme) basically saying we only want to raise a certain amount of money and that's it. Sure no one wants to get stuck with overstock and it's hard to match supply exaxtly with demand but keeping it limited is only helping resellers.

Agreed. If this tee is limited like the rest of their products then there's definitely a conflict of interests. The idea of a limited edition tshirt for charity

I would never buy a shirt to support a cause.
I would rather directly give my money to red cross or an organization.
I really don't need and item in exchange to help people out.

Congrats you win.  NT>everybody else.  Japan deserves better than to have companies sell t-shirts to raise money for them.  Your right.  Either do it right or don't do it all.

I got my badge with my mercycorps donation & sent a lil something to the red cross.
I dont need to tell the whole world I "helped" with any shirt.

But hey, at least supreme is helping japan, no matter how significantly/insignificantly

Same deal as Supreme, 100% of the proceeds go to charity.

My only point is that this is a good idea for people who normally would not donate to charity.

i HATE supreme...

and here's why..

i went to their lil store they call a "boutique" which adds extra $$ to any item sold already cuz its a "boutique" not a store...i was buying a pair of SB's for my lil brother who wanted a pair... now the box still had the retail price of $68 on it. so im at the register with $70..they ring them up for $105...im like doesn't it say $68 on the box? THE SUMMAMABISH said while he rips the price tag off the box in front of me"OH THAT'S THE SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE...WHAT THEY SUGGEST WE SHOULD SELL IT FOR...BUT WE WANNA CHARGE $105 CUZ WE FELL LIKE IT! i gave him the
indifferent.gif
and walked away saying well i suggested not to buy these...

I was gonna come in here and hate on Supreme but I realized that if this gets some people to help donate some money that they wouldn't have otherwise then I'm not in a place to say +@!!.

As long as a majority of the purchase paid is going directly to the relief then thats

People don't need to get a shirt in order to donate but others would like to. No hating should be involved as long as it is working towards a better tomorrow for japan.
