I'm traveling and the fitness room is bad :lol

I was able to get a good workout with running and doing my own sets in the space in the middle tho. I brought my jump rope from home :hat

Ps is jumping low or jumping high and bending your knees all the way while jump roping just preference? I found myself being exhausted a lot quicker with the latter.

400

Reasoning behind this? I ask because a lot of people agree with him about training and stuff. I don't really follow him much. He did just post a vid of a huge dude hitting 550 for a double on bench.
From what I've seen he's a smart guy but when you make, market and sell a program to "transform your muscle fibers into Type 3 Hybrid Muscle Fibers" then your a joke to me.
-.-

His general advice for beginners works.  So for you to dissuade people away from his videos because you think his more advanced ideas are questionable is kind of throwing shade for no reason..

That's a pretty good source of general information.

Dude that bodybuilds was in the gym last night and gave me advice. Always have your back arched when performing an exercise. It helps develop form. I started doing it and immediately started feeling the exercise I did.
Maybe you guys knew that but it was new to me.
arched in what way?

legs day today can't wait

squat
stiff leg deads
lunges
some hamstring extensions

in between there i will be throwing in calves probably before lunges to catch a break and to finish up

Wish my gym had room to do box jumps....i miss that

Since when is stating your opinion abt something dissuading ppl and throwing shade? His claims are bs so I said he's a joke to me, pretty simple.

Decent commercial gym.  40 a monthish.  Products are expensive in their shop.  I go to hoop and do free weights mostly

Appreciate the feedback bro...I know each gym is different, but did they have squat racks/allow deadlifting at your location?

Ok I mostly just lurk in this thread but I really need help. Today was my leg day and this makes the third time that I've pulled my hip flexor. Can somebody give me some tips? I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. Every time I start moving up in weight on the squat I mess up my hip.

For those that take pre workout supps do you cycle on it ? I've heard of people taking it one month on one month off so that they don't develop a high tolerance for the caffeine etc...

Yeah I would normally always take a break every 4-5 weeks normally after finishing a tub, I would then take a 4 week break before starting again

I always think that after 3-4 weeks you will find that Pre-Workouts don't seem to have the same effect anyways,
I now make my own Pre-Workouts that work everytime and work out cheaper:

- 200mg Caffeine
- 5g Creatine
- 5g Beta Alanine
- 3g Argnine
and mix with a small satchet of Kool Aid or buy Flavouring on ebay or Amazon just for a bit of taste

Hip flexor on squats?
So on the down part it hurts?

Try stretching it out before hand and stretching all muscles around the hip. Also helps to get a deep squat (for me at least if I stretch before). Foam roll as well. It hurts, but its a good kinda hurt? hah

Maybe try some isometric leg raises for stability and target the hip flexor. Also if you hip flexor isn't recovered properly it would give out more easily.

Does your hip flexor hurt for days? is it swollen/red?

funny, i go to LA Fitness but i also go to another local gym (much diff crowd) closer by home when I go in morning usually

i was treated like a local celebrity just because i was doing...............wait for it...................deadlifts

didnt even realize until after i was done, all the questions, dudes telling me how much i did etc

you dont use a belt?!?

Stretch it out and warm up.

I have tightness in my groin area every time i squat.. I run a mile or so...roll my back out....stretch my groin/hip flexor out. Then do 15 reps with the bar. About 15 reps with 135. Then i increase weight. Buy then im in the groove. But im usually at the gym by then for a good 30 mins between warm up cardio for 15 get the blood moving, and stretching out. My whole body is wound tight i am incredibly not flexible
