Eh im cool with where i am. i dont see a need to "step up to 405-495". again i don't want to be a power lifter...there is no benefit gained from me being able to move that much weight at my size. I'd rather be able to run for 90 mins then squat "405-495" and be dead tired by the end of the first half

Na i couldn't i was running around 10 miles every other day to prep for soccer season and doing a lot of plyo on the other days. So i dropped from about 190 my heaviest back to 170. My strength decreased as my weight kept dropping but my cardiovascular conditioning was pretty good. I can't seem to keep weight on when running that much.

If you have any tips id appreciate it just was difficult for me

Anyone ever completed a half marathon?

I just signed up for the Great Wall of China half marathon. Not sure what I got myself into yet. lol

Never ran in my life and haven't started training, but will start soon.
 
i agree. can go even higher on the cit mal. i think i was dosing 2g COP when i was using it. it just gets too tedious for me to take bulk ingredients preworkout. i just look for something pre-made that works well. right now i'm loving komodo katana.

as far as going on and off stims, i haven't taken a break in over a year :lol

usually i do my on stuff when im trying my best to stay off stims

yea cit mal you can go up to like 6g, 2g does the job pre mixed in with other stuff

right now im on speed x3 by lecheek nutrition

people still use arginine?

go with 1g agmatine sulfate instead

also my secret weapon of choice 2.5g of COP (creatinol-o-phosphate) instead of beta alanine (you can keep the BA in though also)

I'll look into this. I used to take citrus line Malays but the research never showed legitimacy in needing it. Maybe something changed? But the other stuff sounds really interesting.

Just mix it up and work up to it slowly , it takes time to train the muscle for endurance like running
 
team no assist :lol I am 6 foot 185 and i squat 315 for two working sets usually 4 reps no knee sleeves or belt. I am not training to be a body builder though or a power lifter. Honestly i want as much functional strength as possible while still striving for aesthetics. I play soccer all year round and its basically the only reason i train. I get caught up in heavy squatting and DLing because i find it fun i like the challenge.

Off day today legs tomorrow.


315 thts is WEAK step up to 405 -495 bro rep it out and grow some

Don't listen to this. As long as you give it your best that's all that matters. Everyone is different.

Besides 315 is respectable.

i'd be interested in seeing some vids of you sub-180 guys squatting 495 to parallel or below. that would be impressive.

30 double unders
15 power snatches @ 75lb

373 reps is impressive from Garret fisher:smokin.
 
Started making my own preworkout to avoid all the BS and Prices

Ingredients - Allma Nutrition since its the cheapest:

1/2 Teaspon Beta Alanine
1/2ish "scoop" of Citrulline
Chopped Caffeine Pill (Roughly 60-80 mg)
1/2 Packet of "Energy"Water Flavor from Target, Walmart, etc. (60 mg Caffeine)

Taste is great. I use grape and only 5 ounces of water so it has a nice sour bite to it. I felt I was immune to Beta after taking it a few years in other PWOs but I'm tingling up to an hour after sometimes.

Try it! Everything together costs about $35 dollars and it lasts a lot longer than premade PWO
 
Boy, this thread sure changed since volume 1. What happened to just motivating dudes to better themselves instead of flexing online?


Getting tired of sprouted bread and Nutella. What kind of snacks are you guys eating throughout the day?
