STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Damn fellas this sinus infection back again. Looks like it wasn’t fully cleared up from last time. So this time my Dr is putting me on 10 days worth of antibiotics.

Here’s my major concern. They put me back on levaquin which is a strong antibiotic. Stronger than a z pak. One of the “pontential” side affects to users of all ages is tendinitis, tendon rupture which can include the Achilles’ tendon..

I know a lot of the side affects are a rarity in most medicines and i confirmed that with my Dr. But there’s always a risk so ofcourse she recommended I go easy for a little. None of us here like to hear that and usually ignore it. Anyone here ever use the stuff? Granted I won’t be trying for maxes

After one cycle though?

Have you tried any natural remedies for your sinus infection?

The doctor isn't going to care about your lifting, he's tryin to get those prescriptions signed off.

Can't wait to go press the **** out of some weight tonight. I'm hunting for PRs. Damn it it's happening.

Push 1/30/18

Incline DB Press
Set 1: 30 lb × 12 [Warm Up]
Set 2: 75 lb × 5
Set 3: 75 lb × 5
Set 4: 75 lb × 5
Set 5: 75 lb × 4
Set 6: 75 lb × 4

3 Exercise Super Set
Hi To Low X Crossover (Cable)
Set 1: 40 lb × 15
Set 2: 40 lb × 13
Set 3: 40 lb × 10

DB Floor Fly Eccentrics
Set 1: 50 lb × 8
Set 2: 50 lb × 6
Set 3: 50 lb × 6

UCV Raise
Set 1: 15 lb × 12
Set 2: 15 lb × 11
Set 3: 15 lb × 10

Low back super set
Suitcase Carry
Set 1: 65 lb × 1
Set 2: 65 lb × 1

Reverse Plank (with 90lbs)
Set 1: 1 min, 30 sec
Set 2: 1 min, 30 sec

3 Exercise Superset

Supine Tricep Extension
Set 1: 20 lb × 14
Set 2: 15 lb × 13
Set 3: 10 lb × 16

Modified DB French Press
Set 1: 20 lb × 6
Set 2: 15 lb × 5
Set 3: 10 lb × 10

Close Grip DB Bench Press
Set 1: 20 lb × 3
Set 2: 15 lb × 4
Set 3: 10 lb × 8

That tricep superset was ******* bananas. Each exercise changes the mechanics of the lever arm and thus affecting where the hardest point in the exercise is so when you hit failure in one exercise or can push through and crank out more reps in the next thereby training THROUGH, not to, failure.

So dope. I’ll video it next time...or I can just post post the Athlean X video I stole it from.

Also, that round of incline DB Press was a PR volume wise. Looking back at old records I noticed I’ve been able to do 75s for over a year but never this many reps/sets. When 80s go up, it’ll be a true PR. Can’t wait!

Pro tip for a killer exercise for upper back/traps/rear delts

Take an adjustable bench and set it at the third notch up from being flat, then stand behind it and use it to balance while resting your forehead on the top making your back almost parallel to the ground and do bent over rows that way. I only need about 50 pounds in bar weight and it gives you a crazy pump :pimp:

Almost everything in the book. Nothing helped. First time I waited and it went to my chest. Fact that my concern is lifting related is the only thing. Then again it is rare. Don’t really listen when they tell me to take a break. If I have to I tell myself based on how I feel.

I need to save that video and show it to any random spotter that I have before I lift. “You see this? THIS is how you’re supposed to spot me. Talk some **** to motivate me and don’t grab that **** unless it starts going back down or if I tell you to”

I'm gonna have to give the floor fly a whirl. My left AC joint is a little wonky so I don't want to mess around with too much ROM.

It's incredible. The floor acting as a safety net lets you really push through failure without risking your shoulders.

It’s ammonia?

I haul ammonia, when I open the dome on my tanker I want to puke and suffocate. :lol

Must be a different type.
