Mark Wahlberg took to Instagram to answer some fan questions and revealed an impossibly taxing daily fitness regime.

The actor told fans that he starts his day at 2:30 AM. Soon after rising, he goes in for a half hour of prayers. Breakfast begins at 3:15 AM and is then followed by a grueling 95 minute workout. Subsequently, the actor eats another meal, takes a shower, grabs a snack, plays golf and then undertakes "cryo chamber recovery." The actor is referring to cryotherapy recovery - a method of relieving muscle and joint pain which involves using liquid nitrogen to plunge the air temperature below - 100 degrees celsius. The treatment is favored by professional athletes but the way Wahlberg is living, we'd say it's right up his street.

He went into further detail about his daily food intake sharing, "I start out with steel oats, blueberries and peanut butter for breakfast, then I have a protein shake, three turkey burgers, five pieces of sweet potato at about 5:30 in the morning. At 8 o'clock, I have about 10 turkey meatballs," he continued. "At 10:30am, I have a grilled chicken salad with two hard-boiled eggs, olives, avocado, cucumber, tomato, lettuce." He wrapped it up by saying, "At 1 o'clock I have a New York steak with green peppers. At 3.30pm, I have grilled chicken with bok choi. At 5.30/6 o'clock, I have a beautiful piece of halibut or cod or a seabass, with some vegetables, maybe some sautee potatoes and bok choi. And I have a lot of Aquahydrate during the day. That's it."


Son isn’t that big to do all that.
 
Just have a question about Wahlbergs routine above. Does it seem as if he's eating too much and his meals dont match the physique one would expect?
reading that meal plan doesnt sound extensive at all. From the sounds of it seems like less than 200 grams of carbs. Sufficent amount of protein fats and veggies. Doesnt really seem as if hes over 2400 calories honestly

It just seems like he should be leaner coupled with a 95 minute workout since it sounds like that's a regular routine for him.
 
Marky Mark's physique isn't anything special considering how big he's been in the past, but, at this point, I feel like he only cares about having certain vanity muscles, proportionality, and the ability to golf every day (like most men of his age/means) over putting up big numbers or being completely yoked.

That being said, I'm surprised how much bok choi he eats, considering how racist he is/has been in the past (including beating an Asian man with a stick until he was blind before he got famous).

Did not see the OG post on IG, BUT he could be eating all that in smaller portions.

Maybe eating bok choi is his way of taking it away from asians. "More I eat the less you people have!"

Hate to be that guy and I love Mary Mark but...

2:30am every day? What time does he go to bed 8? Regardless of what you take, sleep and recovery are more important than diet just about.

You can definitely look like him without all that crazy **** he spewed out, just get on a bro split 4/5 days a week and be sub 15% BF.

That's pretty much what I was getting at. For such a routine and eating as much as he is, I would think he is much leaner. So either he's lying or not working out as much. I was just curious as to what others thought.

He’s just trying so sound cool to the people who don’t know any better.

I do handstands. I need to flip up against the wall though so I don’t just fall on my back. :lol

I do 5 for as long as I can hold them.

It’s a lot of forearms and lats. You wanna drive with your lats the same as an OHP. It’s pretty much your whole body though. I mean if you don’t brace somewhere you’re gonna tip over.
