How is your ohp only 65lbs less than bench?
How do you bench?

Mine is the same way, I hit 180 on ohp last year. I feel like some bros just aren’t built for bench. I know a lot of guys with super strong dl and squat and sub 3 plate benches.
 
When my squat form use to be terrible i could barely hit 315 with depth. But hit a 330 bench press that year
 
Probably just need a better program for bench with more volume. Everyone responds to training differently.
 
I hate how my chest is the weakest link of my body. With Legs,back,and shoulders my numbers going up. Last week i did 275 on bench press, i needed that spot or else i wouldve been dead.

DL-520/1 rep
Squat-480/1 rep
OHP-195/1 rep
BP-260/ rep ;(

your DL and squat makes up for your bench and your bench honestly isnt even that bad. mine are @165:

dl - 470
squat - 405
bp - 300

I rather have your #s lol

I worked with a coach on bench for a grip, We just chalk it up to nerve damage and plates in my right arm.

I can bust out a ton of volume close to my max but once I get to a certain weight my arm is just like wtf is going on and starts losing stability.

I just stick to body building stuff most days for upper body with the occasional heavy day. That’s actually got me stronger than strength training.

I’m over trying to get numbers, I just train for overall health and mobility. The numbers come naturally that way.
 
Trying to break that 8min pace for 5 miles.

That last mile killed me.

Learning to keep a pace, rather than run fast out the gate and die later on.

All a game to find the right pacing.

DL is my fav, i tend to focus alot of legs and back so maybe thats the case.

By summer im aiming for 315.
Basically what he’s saying is he thought you’d be able to bench more.

The carryover between strict OHP and flat bench is great. I’d say there’s a strong correlation between the lifts. Especially OHP to flat bench.

195 is a solid *** OHP.

Squating Ohp and DL i know i can let go if anything, but bench...na

When i have a spotter 260 comes up smooth as butter...without a spotter i just freak out and rep on 225s.

By the way, seen an axle bar at my golds. Looked into it and i may mess with it nxt week on my dl day.

Find a gym with benches that have safety pins. You can set them up so if you fail a rep, all you have to do drop your arch and let the bar rest on the pins.

I got some kimurawear gloves from a guy at work. They're ok, but I'm not complaining since they were free lol
Never heard of that brand. Man if they work they work but I’ve been spoiled and there ain’t no going back. All in the footwork anyway right? Haha

When sparing I’ll hand my gloves to the other guy and take their cheaper ones. Nobody is swinging at my head with anything cheap lol. My hands will be fine regardless. I see people using Reyes and grants for sparing. They’re great for attempting to knock someone on their *** but not sparring.
 
Who uses kinesiology tape? And for those who do. Do you really feel a difference? Does it really help you? I know its not neccessairly for strength training. But the runners or endurance athletes here.
My wife's friend swears by it so i was curious before i ordered some


Fyi ..she let me try some on my back...i feel like i feel something. But im still not sure. The true test is my rotator cuff area
