Checked off the boxes I wanted to at that weight strength wise.

Also a tear in my labrum helped push the lifestyle change.

I’m more into functional movements now than before.

I’ll get down to 210 by July and coast there.

I’ve gotten into running, and that’s become a fun new hobby for me.

I’ll still lift “heavy” twice a week.

Other days I’ll train compound and functional movements.

Balancing, core, etc.

There’s no great science to gaining and losing weight, it’s simple cals in vs cals out.

I did go 5 years red meat free tho.

And recently to start my leaning I introduced vegetarian for 4 months to help detox my body and straight it off right.

Introduced meats back into the routine but not as frequent as before.

One steak a week and chicken here and there.

I did go 5 years red meat free tho.

And recently to start my leaning I introduced vegetarian for 4 months to help detox my body and straight it off right.

Introduced meats back into the routine but not as frequent as before.

One steak a week and chicken here and there.

I know this is a cliche question, but I always forget. What were some of your sources of good protein when you went vegeterian?

I bought some meatless ground beef and it ended up looking like rabbit pellets. Had to dump it in the trash.

I ate a ton of beans, Lima beans, green beans, black beans, broccoli, etc.

1 shake and protein bar a day.

Everything else I was able to get from veggies and fruits.

lentils and nutritional yeast are pretty good protein sources I rec to some of my vegan clients

all these fake meat **** have so much emulsifiers and binders that do a number on your stomach

Those fake meats are disgusting. Stick to beans and vegan protein shakes. I personally avoid soy always.

The Beyond meat burgers are pretty good, 21g of protein. I've been eating it for the past 2 weeks even though I know it's probably not that healthy. Gonna stop soon.

Be careful if y'all are shopping for vegan protein powder. Sometimes it'll say 21g of protein per serving and realize 1 serving is 2 scoops.

Yeah def not good to eat. I do eat a lot of lentil for my soups and nutritional to top it off and chickpea flour eggs.

Got some wheat powder to attempt to make seitan, but it looks so tough and takes too long to make.
