STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Yea let's squat outside the squat rack cause it's safer to have a 100lb female try up right rowing 365+ pounds!!!

Outside the rack, box squat, and dropping the weight on a back spotter.

I had one dude at my old gym who was on this.

Guy used to do all manner of wacky ****. Nothing even remotely conventional.

For instance he used to bring in a rubber machete and he would blitz the 4 punching bags on some crouching tiger hidden dragon ish

Was kinda dope but also very annoying because the intensity levels were OD.

imagine being so offended by a joke you think it is a good idea to follow & pull up a comedian over it…

i definitely see a lot of folks lifting in blazers, chucks, & vans…suppose they are better than being in less flat & foam cushioned shoes but it is a notable difference in stability when i squat or deadlift in shoes vs not.

This assumes everyone’s feet are shaped exactly the same!

making some progress, hit 295 for front squat & put 10lbs on my sumo deadlift

need to get back on my deadlifts. hopefully I recover soon enough before returning back to work and get into tip-top shape. been hulking about a few weeks ago then caught the Covid. sh*t hurts like a mofo. have a terrible whooping cough and my muscles are terribly and sensitively sore like you are pretty damn weak p*ssy. haven't been this sick since 2013.

#itbelikethatsometimes, i’ve heard that getting over the covid can be rough…hopefully you make it out smoothly

the sneezing and the coughing was just bad. couldn't get a good rest and sleep. was suppose to get my gradual return to work next week but the occupational therapist just booked me another week off after she heard me cough like a dog on the phone. guess they don't want me to spread that Covid at work. can't really do much, but I'll try to do some curls and presses tomorrow.

Took me a little over a month to fully recover from covid. It can take a while for some people.
feeling a bit better today. what is annoying though is that when I sneeze, I feel like my lungs are tearing up all over. quite painful in a weird way.

I definitely wouldn't try to rush back until fully recovered. I had horrible muscle strains with mine. Felt like I had broken ribs for a few days.

Just hope you don't get long covid. I know one person who's had it going on for four months.

When I had covid luckily I had mild symptoms and was back in the gym right when my 10 day quarantine was done.

yeah. my muscles right now felt like jello and certainly weak. so lifting was really a no-go. felt like muscle strains in the lungs when I'm forced to sneeze. I did went for a few meters of jog, so far that was ok. compared to about few days ago, I think I'm feeling better. not taking anymore cough syrup and strepsils. just some tylenol for muscle pain. I might take Tylenol 3 later to help me sleep.

Deadlifting and had the dl jack in front of me.

As I'm resting some dude takes the jack with him and doesn't bring it back..

I go right to where he is and take the jack right back after he loaded his weight lmao

I'm pulling 500. You're pulling 185. I need it more than you buddy boi

I don't even use the jack but I can understand the sentiment.
