My gym is tiny and only has 1 rack.
Dude here is benching 65 pounds in the rack. And to make it worse it looks like he's doing sets of 3...

I'm not one to shame or anything, but wouldn't he be better off just using DBs to build up strength first?

Not gonna say anything to him though cause I don't wanna be a ****.
He is just as fine lifting 65 on that bench as you would at whatever your PR is.

If he’s taking an obsessive amount of time on the 1 rack I’d maybe ask him if you could work in, or find another gym you’re fine paying for that has more than 1 rack.

Yeah I'm not saying he doesn't have a right to be there or anything, just wondering if DB bench would be more convenient for him.
It's leg day for me so I would've asked to work in if he were squatting, but alas he wasn't.

It's my university gym and I'm cheap af lol so I just roll with the inconveniences.

Waiting is a killer and impatience is a bother. I woul do something else while the rack or any machine is available. I also get annoyed by people that couldn't wait for you to finish like you just barely caught your breath after finishing one of your sets and some dude just comes up wanting you to get up immediately. I give the stink eye whenever someone does that and they remember immediately where their place is.

Hes benching in the squat rack or at an actual bench press?

if hes benching in the only squat rack then he gotta pack up and move to the bench.

lol there's no setup for barbell bench. Plenty of benches, just no rack for the barbell :lol:. That's what led me to wonder if it'd be more convenient for him (and me lol) to just do dumbbell bench. Plus there's no risk of him getting pinned with DBs
 
I'm saying though, you can't choose a gym with limited equipment then make up fake nice passive aggressive scenarios instead of waiting your turn or finding another.
 
what the.... thats a whack *** gym right there. you gotta upgrade gyms then lol

lol yeah it's my university gym. It's like an 80% commuter college so it's pretty much dead over the summer.

I start a new job in September so I'll probably need to start finding a new gym once all the students are back.
 
I'm just messing with you man, don't take it seriously. Just thought the "wouldn't it be better for him to use dumbbells?" concern was funny when you really just want him the **** outta there :lol:
