Glance game strong here too but damn I be locking eyes multiple times w some, and even the ohio state **** eyes. I’ve def had some funny stories off that.

One time last year, this bad Filipino chick, we’d exchange eye contact and up and down looks every time at the gym 😂 after like a handful of times of it happening she just casually waved at me… I hesitantly wave back and look around like me? And say oh hey do I know you or something and she’s like idk do you? Chopped it up from there and dated for a few months. Rare but it can happen bros, if the glance turns into more let it flow 🔥
 
decided to compete in Oct in order to try to qualify for nationals.

with my broken shoulder, I have to bench conservative and let me squat and deadlift do the talking.

i’ve never had a broken anything…but how do you do any of those things with a broken shoulder???

tried some band assisted & resisted squats for the 1st time…very interesting feeling having the weight move with the bands, definitely going to try more of these variations

hes basically just a deadlift specialist on the noodle bar (deadlift bar) and he lifts from the gram.

overshoots every single. not that it matters cause he competes in the USPA which isnt even taken seriously.

if he really wanted the smoke he would compete in an actual competitive federation like the USAPL (which will force him to deadlift on a stiff power bar rather than a deadlift bar)

but I doubt he'll do that because his deadlift will take a hit.

What kinda difference you looking between that bar and a power bar??

what’s the difference does a deadlift & power bar make? does it legitimately make it easier to lift more, if so how much more? he didn’t look to be struggling at all, wonder why he didn’t lock that out 🤷🏿‍♂️

What kinda difference you looking between that bar and a power bar??

deadlift bar is thinner and the knurling is more aggressive allowing you to have a better grip on the bar. since the deadlift bar is thinner, it gives you a big advantage (esp at bigger weights) to move the weight off the floor since the bar will bend greatly, This allows you to move the bar upwards before the weights move up.

depends individually, but a deadlift bar on average gives you an extra 50lbs.

a power bar is extremely stiff so there is far less bend. so you move the bar and the weight at the same time.

and the knurling isnt as aggressive, so your grip has to be on point.

isn't this cheating? this looked similar for those skinny weights over-arching their backs and looked like they fully extended or did some press.
 
after almost 3 years of being off the pool, I finally got the chance to have a great dip in the water. weather is nice and not too hot compared the previous weeks' torturous weather. clearly out of shape but made some breathing exercises to regain my tempo and work out my lungs. my legs felt good and so does my arms. just did a typical swim and not yet my regular swim laps. at the end of such activity, was tired and was falling asleep. but eating and having to shop later in the afternoon kept me awake.
 
That just seems fully unnecessary though. Like the fact he can do that is impressive. But I mean WHY?
i mean why not? besides maybe being an insurance liability 😬🤷🏿‍♂️ isn’t the whole gymming endeavor kinda unnecessary tho?? i get that’s not what dumbbells are for & would definitely be an inconvenience for some looking to use them but i’d guess by the very fact he was able to amass them for that purpose likely means the gym wasn’t too busy

tangentially related to the topic of the unnecessary gym flex, hit a late night early morn session and discovered the deception of flexing while under downlighting while letting a few go 😅😮‍💨💨💨💨 in between lifts in my duck off spot of the cycling room next to where the power racks are setup in my gym…all sorts of muscle cuts appeared, looked like a totally different person in the mirror 🤣🤣🤣
