The College Basketball Post

This Duke squad reminds me of the Kentucky squad from 2014...Lots of talent but not really a cohesive team and injuries haven't helped that at all.

Still wouldn't want them in my side of the bracket come March.

Also, the media owes us and Grayson an apology for pumping him and his own head that boy was the best player in the country :{

Duke and Grayson Allen with the Based God Curse

serves them right for that bogus one game indefinite suspension
They need a true PG

Fox out of his walking boot, listed as day to day...Conflicted,play him tonight against Tennessee or rest him up for Kansas...

Team is trash - just a collection of talent with no identity or mental fortitude.

It's night and day between this team and the 2014-2015 team that was even younger but had a clear identity, especially on offense.

Can rightfully say that not having a steady PG is the main reason for this.

Duke is just a classic example of too many cooks in the kitchen.

You can blame it on a PG but its a lot about role allocation. There just aren't really role players who kill aside from Amile, and just a lot of scorers.

Grayson stinks though and should be benched. Kid does nothing if he isn't scoring and that isn't what this team needs.

Frank
Jones
Kennard
Jayson
Amile

Should be the starting five every game from here on out.

Every duke player other than Matt jones and kennard are ball dominant scorers. Not having a pass first PG makes everything worse.

Dennis is ready.

Really makes me you appreciate a Tyus Jones so much more.

And I don't see how Dennis isn't taken as the 2nd PG after Fultz. Russ 2.0

There were a couple duke guys in here who thought he was talented and weren't all excited when he transferred. So yeah, generalization.

That being said I still wouldn't want to see Duke on my side of the bracket come March.

Cross fingers for a W in Morgantown tonight. Something I haven't been able to say for the last four years.

The draft classes and tournaments would be more interesting. If top recruits would choose to go to other schools.Rather than the usual top programs.Thats why i like watching Dennis with N.C. State.I wish Seventh wouldve went to N.C. State with Dennis on some fab five steeze. They wouldve been a problem in the tournament.I hate watching players like Seventh being controlled in a system where he cant play as freely as Dennis. The coach at N.C. State lets Dennis play freely.I seen Dennis tell his coach while walking to the bench on a time out.He/They cant hold me.Then he told the coach something in his ear.He starts getting doubled in the second half because he was hot in the first. He starts feeding the big men with passes and oops when hes doubled. When he wasnt doubled,he was driving and crossing up his defender.Seventh and other top recruits cant play like that at will.It stunts there growth, and ability to grow as a player in my opinion.I understand running plays. But when you see players at different programs.Which where somewhat on the same level talent wise.Play better in different systems. Then you realize sometimes its not about the talent. Its what system the player is in.If top recruits didnt clammer to the same schools.More of those players would excel waaaaaay more.Rather than sharing minutes with a stacked up team. With not that much chemistry.

I like seventh... but he's not the same caliber player as Dennis.

Also, seventh is on a team that's loaded with guards, state doesn't nearly have the same talent as UNC.. and if you disagree just look at the box score from their first matchup.

When the game slows down for Woods, he will be a good player who consistently contributes to the team. he's too raw at the moment.

Whats even more crazy. Is that Dennis isnt even 100% healthy yet.Tyus was overrated.I had cats tell me he was going to be a star in the league.I use to look at them with the Camron yea right gif look. You can be a good player in college by just being a really average player. You have to be way better than just knowing how to shoot off screens and passing. In order to be a star in the league.Put it this way.You know how many players that where great in college, but nothing in the league, alot. You know how many players that became NBA stars, but didnt have a great college stats, alot.Everybody cant become a J.J. R,or Miller to be a factor in the league. Its more to basketball than just passing and running off screens.
