Driving a really nice car and living with your parents (age 21+)

I live with my parents, last son still home, my own bedroom bathroom & living room, drive a 2010 BMW 335i and will start to pay off my student loans in about 9 months. I don't plan on moving out anytime soon, U MAD?

oh and btw I already moved out from home for 3 years during college so I don't need to feel better about myself by moving out, I also have my own entrance so I don't "Sneak in" anyone. My plan is to get back in school within a year & I just don't see the rush in moving out especially in this economy.

European style ftw I'll move out when I marry lol

to live in a controlled rent neighborhood, at your parent house or inheriting a low RENT apartment from a relative....have some pride bros, make your own nest...push your limits, open your mind and quit being such vaginas about bills.

@ u thinking im ever buying property in da US...no thank you

soon as i get some serious paper, im coppin my stuff out in DR, get a villa...nice house, or a condo and pay ZERO in property tax..and ill KEEP my low rent spot here forever
pimp.gif

so while you can spend extra because of that pride facade..i'll have saved from bypassing such foolish things

da fact that my smart mother saves da majority of her income and has PLENTY liquid insulated her from da financial collapse of da US economy due to da housing market showed me first hand that

there's no "rules" to win...having a house isn't da default plan for everyone.

da main thing that everyone here is right about is all about how comfortable you are......dont let foolish pride move you outta your comfort levels when your not ready to...ESPECIALLY during these trying times.

How about staying home, saving up and having enough to move out and enough to buy a car.

Hmm this is kinda an interesting topic for me since I am considering giving up my bachelor pad for the next sixth months in order to save up money to move out of Cleveland when I finish my Masters in the fall.... I do happen to have a moderately decent whip (2007 Mustang) and it does kinda feel like my priorities would seem backwards to the average person...

I can say looking at most people who do that I would lose a certain level of respect but it kinda depends on the situation. I have been on my own now for about 2 years so during this time I have amassed some rather nice things, (nice crib and nice car) but my current apartment complex will not allow me to get a 6 month extension on my lease which is all I really need until I finish grad school.

In all fairness I have been looking extra hard to find a place (that is not my dads) to move into but in all honesty most of the places I have looked at require a roommate (something I really don't want) or are just too much for that time period (especially if I'm trying to save).

I never understood the people who would lease/finance a nice car while living at home. Maybe it's just me but I have never, ever bought a car. What I do, I buy a used car and I just beat that thing to the ground and then buy another one in the 1K-3K range and repeat.

I mean if you really wanted this car, more power to you because it builds up credit. My friend financed his car and paid on time and he has a good credit score now because of it. It depends on the person I guess.

I am still living at home and I'm 24. Ugh. I do help out with the bills and those "emergency" situations because life is not fun when the pipes burst or something like that. I am going to be moving out soon but my living situation with them is good. We treat each other like adults now because we are all adults now and they respect me. I just think it's a pride thing that I have to leave because a lot of my friends have moved out.

Anyways, having a roof over your head> sleeping over the roof of your car.

Here's what I see right now...I get the sense that alot of people who either moved out prematurely, had to move out, or moved out and it didn't work out the way they wanted to are kind of hating on the people who didn't.

I also see the people still living at home outright justifying their current predicament of living at home without a care in the world.

Haters on both sides. Very few commonground people.
