Let's say Harden draws 4 shooting fouls a game:

He's going to catch you trying to make contact with him when you're fighting over a screen. That's a foul.

He's going to drive to the basket and bait you into reaching for a strip. That's a foul

He's going to get a BS foul when he's not trying to score. Yeah that's a flop. Not going to lie.

He's going to grab your arm when you try to make contact on the drive. That's crafty stuff that's the greats have been doing for years.

True. There is an art to Harden getting these calls.

And this is true. I've stated in the past he's going to have to cut down on some of the exaggerations.

But fact is, watch the reactions of the defenders when they foul him. Rarely are dudes arguing these calls. There's a reason why Pop told T1000 to study the master Harden.

harden a grandmaster chess player when it comes to offense. he's setting guys up for fouls three or four plays ahead. a little bump/lean on one end, and drawing in the defender to play him aggressive and resulting in a foul when he drives hard. if you watch him, he sees how the refs are officiating and how much contact is allowed before exploiting it

I remember really having it out for Harden during the FIBA 2014 World Cup.. this was Harden at his worst. Folks got upset with me for pointing it out but he wasn't playing ball that summer he was doing something totally different with that floppery

Russ' athleticism, fast break, etc. is more exciting than Harden running pick and roll 50 times, step back, etc. They both have made plenty of flashy passes this season. And even though the foul stuff with Beard is more often than not legitimate, that **** it horrible to watch.
