“The God Bless the USA Bible that endorsed and began selling for $59.99 a pop during Holy Week, packages the King James Version Bible along with the lyrics to God Bless the USA, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Pledge of Allegiance. As it turns out, Trump's Bible is missing some key pieces important to voters.

Multiple video reviews analyzed by MeidasTouch revealed that notably missing from the Constitution in Trump’s Bible are the amendments following the Bill of Rights which make up the Constitution's first 10 amendments. Trump's Bible jumps from the original Constitution to the Bill of Rights and then to the Pledge of Allegiance, skipping constitutional amendments 11-27.

That's means Trump's Bible is missing the amendments abolishing slavery and granting women and Black people the right to vote from the volume's back matter.“

Conservatives are very intentional in their use of the "Bill of Rights" when referring to constitutional amendments. The term only refers to Amendments 1-10. So, it's not used as a shortcut, but as a signal of what they value and what they want to get rid of.

He's Also Been Shooting Himself In The Foot For A While With Some Of The Wild Comments.

In uncompromising remarks, Gallant – whose firing last year by Netanyahu triggered mass protests, a political crisis and an eventual reversal by the PM – publicly demanded that Netanyahu describe plans for a “day-after plan” for Gaza.

Gallant’s comments provoked an immediate political row, with Netanyahu pushing back rapidly with a videotaped statement and a call from the far-right national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, for Gallant to be replaced.

Gallant was backed, however, by his fellow senior minister Benny Gantz, a former chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, who said Gallant had spoken the “truth”.

At a press conference on Wednesday evening in Tel Aviv, Gallant said he had asked for an alternative governing body to Hamas to be found, and did not receive a response.

In his remarks, Gallant criticised the lack of any political planning for the “day after”.

Gregg Carlstrom, welcome to FRESH AIR. Let's start with what people are saying in private but not in public. Are you hearing anything from the Israeli military?

GREGG CARLSTROM: What they've been saying in private for a while now, they have actually just - in the past few days started to say in public, and that is that the government has no strategy for this war.

And so the army has been grumbling in private for some time now that this is just going to create an endless war, because if you leave a vacuum behind, Hamas will attempt to fill that vacuum, and we're seeing that happen on the ground now in Gaza. And so that has been, for months now, the private message from the Army, and they have begun now to leak it into the public discourse a bit over the past few days.

GROSS: Are you hearing anything from members of the Knesset that they're not saying in public - or other political leaders in Israel?

CARLSTROM: They are having the same debate that they have been having for months now if we're talking about members of the opposition, and that is, when should they leave this government? Benny Gantz, Gadi Eisenkot - the centrist figures who joined the war cabinet back in October and gave this right-wing Israeli government a veneer of bipartisanship, a veneer of broader legitimacy - they are asking and their supporters are asking when it is time to leave and in some cases, why they haven't left already.
