***Official Political Discussion Thread***

There is absolutely no room for racism in this thread, forum, or anywhere in the world. One of the most abhorrent attitudes one can hold is believing oneself superior to others based solely on their skin color, religion, or beliefs.

I can understand someone (any person of color) that votes for someone like Mitt Romney or John McCain. I can reach across and have a conversation with that person.

What I can’t understand is someone that would vote for either Trump or for Hitler. Trump is a convicted felon at a minimum. He had sex with a porn star while his wife was pregnant. The list goes on. I simply don’t understand how a rationale reasonable person would ever consider this man for office. It’s boggling to the mind that he is even allowed to be a candidate. We have a higher moral bar for someone being an intern at bottom 100 accounting firm. He is a dangerous criminal that wants to use fascist methodologies to rule with reckless abandon.

We are at a pivot point in history. We either denounce wholeheartedly him and show that all it was is a vocal minority of misguided people or we end up on a path similar to Nazi Germany.

I am skeptical that Kamala Harris is the answer. Like someone stated, she was largely absent during her term, and now expecting her to lead the country is a difficult idea to accept.

You can say whatever but if you go against the grain people will question you.

Which is fine say it with your chest.

My reason for saying that is he said he wouldn’t go into r/conservative (thus me pointing out that the thread title isn’t Official Democrat / Liberal thread) posting and essentially said for those with differing opinions to go elsewhere.

My point was that this thread should be for both sides and discourse. It seems the thread agrees, with some exceptions.

A good number of voters have both friends and/or family members that are convicted felons. A lot of voters are sex workers and/or cheat on their significant others.

I think the focus should be more on compelling policy differences.

You lose your security clearance if you owe significant money, caught a felony or you have secret docs that aren’t allowed to leave certain buildings. It’s comical that people are voting for him and encouraging this.

Looks like Delk is dusting off the leg ash from his keyboard and getting back in the trolling game.

In regards to right-leaning posters in here, people question because 99% of the talking points are BS and easily refutable. Especially when it comes to Trump.

Reality has a strong liberal bias that conservatives and the fence straddling, both sides folks hate to acknowledge.

This thread isn’t a Liberal / Democrat thread doe.. it’s politics so both sides should be able to have discourse, no?

Hence the statement that the thread skews left. Just like the politics thread on reddit skews left. If you want to debate in good faith most in here will oblige. Unfortunately the contrarians/racists/low information folks that come in here aren’t looking to have good faith discussions then cry bc their opinions are unpopular. Just go to r/conservative if you want an echo chamber.

Y'all overthinking this too much. We know what we are getting with trump.

She cannot be worse than him or Biden so not sure why you would be skeptical or why her leading the country would be difficult to accept...
