***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I think that a person that thinks the Dems are going to flip the senate, retain the house, and win the Presidency should vote for the Dems.

In the event that doesn't happen, or someone doesn't think that it will happen, I think that what I posted is the better option.
Why would someone think that is not going to happen?

My cousin went to some Latinos for Trump parade in Florida over the weekend. He said they had 30k people there. I didn't believe him until he sent me this video. All of my family, who came here from Nicaragua, in Miami is voting for Trump because they want nothing to do with Biden and his socialism(their words, not mine). It seems like a lot of Latinos feel that way, at least in Florida. **** is wild.

Let's keep it real. Latinos are essentially White. Pop culture makes it seem like they're closer to Black than White which is absolutely false.

Because a lot of people thought Hillary would win, based on the polls, and she lost.
How do you determine which candidates you think are more likely to win? Is it a 50-50 toss up in your mind, or do you have an evidence based approach?

it’s pretty hilarious when you know the history with some of these groups

like how dirty white people used to do Greeks, Latinos that could pass, Jews, Italians and others

but the more any from those groups could slide in they seemingly forgot some of that history outside of certain convenient aspects

even to the point now where you got Dominicans, puerto ricans and couple others who will fight you if you tell em they black

hell we got a ton of that in the Bahamas where you got folks denying their blackness just could they could pass for white

You really have a poor understanding of statistics, probability, and polling.
He has a poor understanding of many things, including leverage.

Somehow thinking that Black people voting for the party who wants to appoint a Justice who will allow them to finally strike down the ACA, gut what’s left of the Voting Rights Act, and likely get rid of Affirmative Action as we know it would somehow give us leverage. How would voting for a party who actively wants to suppress the vote of Black people give us leverage?

That's a whole different thread for discussion. Folks be Afro-Latino(a) when it benefits them, but let Black people start making strides that they fought for, then I'll gets real dicey because "we didn't fight for them too."

Can't you see that helping the GOP never have to worry about the black vote hurting them at the polls, is the perfect way to get leverage over them?

It is such an asinine premise that anyone that gave it a few seconds of thought should realize it is bull****.

Could you imagine if someone suggested that everyone at Winterfell just surrender and join the Night King's army, help him sack King's Landing, and take over Westeros; so in turn that will give the North leverage to make him pass the Second Snow Act, and increase HBCU funding so the Unsullied and Dothraki can get job retraining.

Pure idiocy from the Biscuit Knight

I outlined this with Rusty in the past. If the Republicans were getting 90% + of the black vote, then it would be a different conversation.
Why do you think the Lincoln Project exists? Those are the Republican operatives who, back in 2013, wanted to appeal to the increasing number of minorities in this country who identify with conservative values that are not racism, white supremacy, and hatred for women's autonomy.

The fact is, they left because they finally saw what those with two eyes and folds in their brain realized a long time ago: this republican party DOES NOT want the black vote. They just want them to stop voting for the opposition party.
