I dont trust that app. I dont think it will be accurate in counting the miles.

IMO the ability to lift a certain weight comes from progressing through the desired work.

When I was squatting everyday I could do singles for hours and still have gas. Anything more than a triple for warm-up weight and I was sucking wind. Throw in any kind of accessory work and I was gassed. My absolute strength (1RMs) increased, my strength endurance (ability to lift for 8+ reps) decreased, and my ability to lift at higher intensities increased. Weight/mass stayed relatively constant (+/- 10 lbs. total).
 
Finally hit my gym goal of a 315 bench.
Started lifting 7 years ago and could barely do the bar lol. It isn’t much compared to others but damn it feels good to finally overcome the hump. Next up is a clean paused rep then 315 for triples. hoping to end the year with 325 paused

My goal is to get 315 once before January 1 lol

That’s why I mix it up. My body can take hella abuse in the gym now. I’ll go high reps for like 12 weeks then switch to powerlifting mode. It really helps.

You still gotta lift heavy though with high reps. If you’re going for a 5x10 try and keep the same weight the whole time but on your 5th set and 10th rep it should be damn hard.
 
So I've read that exercising for more than an hour affects testosterone negatively. Does that include cardio?

Would that apply if I was to lift for 40 minutes and then do 40 minutes of cardio? Or is it just for lifting?
 
Decided to make the drive to El Cerrito 24 instead of using Oakland this morning. Think I might do this on the regular. Both Oakland 24s are TRASH.

Man this program got your boy feeling like a beast with all the volume. Week 2 day 2

DB squats 3x8
Neutral DB press with 3 sec pause 4x10
DB rows with a pause 3x12
Rear delt raises 40 reps
Slow eccentric bicep curls with bands 60 reps
DB neutral deadstop pushups 40 reps

I’ve never done a program like this but already I feel more... balanced? I guess. All I know is it feels great

Man i switched from retro fitness to golds two months ago, and this golds be cold af.

We be complaining but they aint making it warm, i be sweaty, hit the sauna and then walk out to a freezing bathroom, smh.

Sad cause i really like this gym. Told the manager fix this or cancel my damn contract.
