STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

🤔🧐 is the homie really doing lunges or just a variation of a farmers carry tho?

…on something of deload week so just some hoops & some pool work today

I am of the firm belief that all the actors that need to get big or shredded for a role are just doing roids. Word to Zack Effron and The Rock.

probably makes it easier than if they didn’t, regardless tho…still had/have to put in that work to get it. i wonder if it’s worth it in the long run, for those guys especially given what is possible with cgi (which they often end up sing anyway for most movies that require an actor to get shredded)

I knew zac Efron was on roids when he posted a video of himself struggling with a 185 bench.

how/why?

impressive! is it real tho? something about it looks like it’s for laughs

anyone heard before/know where the saying ‘the ability to bench press your bodyweight, squat 1.5x bw, deadlift 2x bw, puts one in the top strongest 5% of men’ come from? each seems pretty attainable…

That bench vid definitely looks real. Even though he’s a smaller person Kevin has always had an athletic frame and seems to be big into health and fitness. 275 for 2 with some assistance is very believable.

Just deadlifted for the first time in 4+ years, since my knee has been out of commission. Worked my way up to 135, could have gone for more but started to feel it in my hamstring on my messed up leg and didn’t wanna force it, I’ll be back next weekend

I couldn’t even bend my knee the past few years, couldn’t even do a 10 pound leg extension …I could shed a thug tear right now 🥲

^
Video title says its 245lb but I agree. Def looks real.

It's not uncommon to see small framed people benching impressive weight.. esp these days.
true. don't underestimate short dudes. had a mate back in the secondary that did 45 sit-ups in 1 minute and pretty much smoked us all doing push-ups like a jackrabbit that I even lost count on how fast he went in 1 minute. short stocky dude that worked the fields in a young age. also, the guy hits like a truck. good thing he was on our side of the group. nobody messes up with him.

reaggravating tears and joint injuries is something really worrisome. still haven't done my usual dl's since tearing up my calf muscle.

finished my first week of actually training seriously and being on program.

went back to squatting and deadlifting on the same day and got humbled first day. my legs were shaking.

feels good though. getting all my protein in daily though is still a challenge lol

deadlift & squat same day = same session for you or different sessions in the same day? do you give priority to one of the lifts to be fresh(er) for?

i’ve pretty much accepted that i’m going to be inconsistent with my protein intake, i just don’t have the appetite/discipline be getting into triple digits daily…what is the number you’re shooting for?

did some box jump variations, still experiencing a lingering phantom pain in my right quad, been dealing with it for a couple months now & can’t figure it out
