Don't mean crap until they say "I Do."

Yep.  I still have no hope.  I'm expecting another few days of reports on "progress being made" and then another major crash and burn.  That said, I'll be thrilled if I end up being wrong.

this feels like a much anticipated trade... you keep hearing rumors everyday but it doesn't mean anything until that player holds that jersey up at the introduction conference... but i just hope this ends already... im already bored of sports... im not that big of a nfl fan but i do watch it and its only once a week... and college football i don't care about and college ball is cool and all but i only really watch during the tournament...so i hope the NBA can get its act together already

Like the Jason Kidd trade? Or Carmelo Antony? I swore I read over 100 articles pertaining to each trade before the thing even went through.

I'm in the same boat as you though man. I like football and all, but it's not basketball, and my team is doing good, and I'm still dying for basketball.

And like you, NCAA sports are just whatever to me.

Why'd it take so long to deal w/ system issues tonight? Players pushed for return to 51% of revenue split, source says; Stern, Holt refused

Surprised?

While asking for 51% after 50% was "agreed" on seems absurd.. Berger points out..

Players had agreed to 50-50 split. But if max stays same (up for some), rookie/min stays same, no rollbacks, how do they get to 50?

Easiest way to get owners relief without touching majority of players was always to reduce max contracts. Was never an option for players.

Thus, they've spent months trying to fit square system peg into round BRI hole. It's never going to fit.

Considering many were worried that the new CBA would crush the NBA's "middle class", you would think those who would always get their money (max guys) would be willing to reduce the max. On the other end, it still is so confusing that after the players have come down SEVEN PERCENTAGE POINTS from the previous CBA which would give back the money the owners were losing, why the owners are so insistent on some of these system issues. I just want to know the truth.. do they truly believe these points will make the league more competitive or are they just trying to get as much as they can from the players. If it's the former, I want to know so I can be certain which owners are idiots.. if it's the latter, hey.. at least I can understand being greedy, but I can't understand how they feel a reduced MLE for tax teams will radically change anything.. or how preventing sign and trades will make the T-Wolves competitive, or whatever "system issues" they cling to.
