I honestly don’t think Trump is an effective communicator. A dog running on a racist platform drumming up hate for Mexicans would garner the same level of support and enthusiasm out of the racists that follow him. ****, we are talking about the guy who won’t run White House press conferences anymore because he can’t get a message out there without starting a ****show. **** last week he thought he could just use the flu shot to treat corona.

At the end of the day the hardcore republicans and alt-right will always vote republican. That’s a given, but I think there is a large contingent of people out there looking for someone to vote for other than Trump and I don’t think Bernie is going to appeal to those people.

This. It’s easy to inspire and fire up idiots, because they’re idiots. Trump could fart into a microphone and those people would immediately start chanting “LOCK HER UP”

I mean, what are you talking about? Rubber bumpers belong on cars too! I mean, people say that they are not effective, but I am hearing that they are! Look, we have some fantastic people looking into this, high quality, really solid people, and we are doing some really special things that haven't been seen before. The guys behind those rubber bumpers? They are better looking than Tom Cruise, I'll tell you that much! But we'll see! Maybe they wont be as good as steel, I don't know, but it is great to have such a good economy, the best we've ever seen in the history of the United States...
Donald Trump
Trump is an imbecile, without question

What I'm saying is that when he's on a rally stage, he knows how to speak to people that might be persuaded by his message in an effective fashion. On a debate stage, he similarly knows how to attack his opponents effectively—he talks **** and insults people, he forces people on the defensive about their record, he has no regard for morals or truth, etc.

Obviously I'm not saying I like him, his message, or his style or find them personally compelling. I'm saying I recognize that he's an effective campaigner because of these things. And Biden is going to look absolutely terrible in comparison if he's the one on the other side of the race.

but either way we're ****ed we got two old *** dude running for president that can barely remember anything the next day or eat their pudding cups correctly smh

Blame boomers...... No i mean that. They vote heavy and as they age, they are forcing out leadership to age with them.

One thing that has become increasingly clear is people in this country have no god damn clue about what the difference is between socialism and communism. A debate between Trump and Bernie isn’t going to be a debate between the two, candidates, it’s going to be a debate between capitalism and socialism/communism and I don’t think Bernie is going to win that debate either.
I'm talking about within the context of a campaign specifically—or even campaign-like activities. Why do you think Trump kept having those rallies even after he was elected? That's when he's at his most effective. And that's also why the media constantly streaming his campaign rallies back in 2016 gave him such a boost.

And I agree that disingenuous "red scare" tactics would be employed against Bernie, to unclear effect. But I have a hell of a lot more faith in Bernie being able to respond credibly to those kinds of attacks than I do of Biden being able to defend attacks on his writing of the federal crime bill, or his opposition to busing in the 1970s, or his son's involvement with Burisma, or whatever. Again, I'm not saying these lines of attack will be in good-faith—they won't—but they will have enough of a kernel of truth to muddy the waters and Biden will be unable to effectively clarify anything or put Trump himself on the defensive.

You can blame boomers but everyone else is just as guilty for not voting. Bernie would wash Biden if people younger than 40 would vote.

like 10% of people under 25 voted or something like that.

You already knew boomers were voting Biden but you still didn’t vote? That’s on you.

You can ask him to be better and still keep priority number 1 in sight.

A candidate needs to earn the votes.

the 1# priority is what Hillary was shilling in 2016 and it wasn't enough.

A primary is different from a GE and Biden and his supporters should remember that.

I remember making a post asking how many people turned 18 since trump got elected.

it doesn’t matter if 10 million turned 18 they aren’t gonna vote anyways.
