The College Basketball Post

I feel people expected too much out of Jeter this year. If you watched him in high school you knew he needed time in the weight room and getting accustomed to playing guys his size. His Bishop Gorman teams were always stacked size wise, they started a line up with Zimmerman him and Zach Collins. No other high schools had that.

Jeter was always a 4 year guy, cmon

He was never viewed as an Okafor talent. He was always a Casey Sanders, Dave McClure, Zoubek, Amile Jefferson type of recruit.

Yeah the Team USA run made it pretty clear Chase Jeter was a project.

but I've said this before. Outside of the top 5-6 prospects.

prospects 8-50 seems like a crap shoot.

Malta : You were going fine until you said McClure and Zoubek. You only need Andre Sweet and Josh Hairston to make your comparison even more ridiculous

Jeter has displayed a lot of ability to play with back to the basket and display true big man skills.

On the other end, he’s a phenomenal shot blocker. Some of compared his game to Duke legend Grant Hill.

Jeter is still able to get position on the low block and finish with his back to the basket. Jeter is known for his jump hook over his left shoulder, and his length makes it nearly impossible to block.
Jeter runs the floor very well, blocks shots and is also unselfish when he gets double-teamed on the block. His ability to run the floor will help Duke in transition, especially when the Blue Devils push the tempo.

Jeter and Kennard better be ready because there’s a strong chance they’ll each be playing a large role right away. They already have strong chemistry on and off the court so they should play well together. Kennard’s shooting and pick-and-roll skills should complement Jeter’s interior game. Former Duke star and current ESPN analyst Jay Williams believes Jeter and Kennard can form an excellent one-two punch for the Blue Devils.

“I’m a big fan of both of those players,” Jay Williams told Basketball Insiders. “I think Chase Jeter has the versatility to be a big-time player at Duke.
Just a few examples.. Shot blocking, running the floor and a good scorer inside. I never was trying to compare him to okafor

but the reports were making it seem like he was going to come in and put in some work as a starter.

No disrespect to anybody in here, but Grayson might be the best attacking the rack white dude off the dribble I've seen.
